About Karajeh Rugs
Karajeh rugs are a subset of the Heriz weaving tradition, hailing from a village in the northwest of Iran near the borders of the Caucasus. Unlike the larger Heriz rugs, Karajeh pieces tend to be woven in smaller formats and often feature bolder, more playful variations on classic tribal patterns.
