The Hallidie "Endless Wire Rope Way" was first patented in 1871 by Andrew Smith Hallidie. Hallidie's Aerial Tramway system was distinct from the more widely known two cable Bleichert system in that it only used one cable. Little to no power was required, as the weight of descending loaded buckets would propel the empty buckets back up. Hallidie Tramways were widely used in the Western US, and many famous mines, including the Standard Mine at Bodie, CA, the Mary-Murphy Mine near St. Elmo, CO, the Gold King Mine at Animas Forks, CO, and the Emma Hill Mine at Alta, UT. This model represents the earliest type of ore buckets, used between 1871 and 1895.
This kit includes 2 ore buckets and an extra support . The top of the clip and the bucket print in two separate pieces that must be glued so you can position the clip on any angle.
